 Martin Streek, the former on-air personality at Edge 102 has taken his own life. The CFNY-FM veteran was admired by his colleagues, musicians and journalists.
Many were taken back by this news and have left messages and comments on twitter and Martin's facebook page. Streek was known for hosting the Thursday 30 countdown as well as live-to-air weekend broadcasts.Josie Dye of Edge 102 published a blog entry simply titled 'Hard Day' with the text: "Hard day for Edge staff. Martin will be missed. Our thoughts are with his friends and family." Alexisonfire posted a response via their twitter account (@aof_official) saying: "Very sad day. I grew up listening to him and he's always been a huge supporter of ours. We'll miss you."
